Thats true if you are a good enough coder. You can make a lot in a short amount of time if you have a solid idea and a good product. But it can be a lot of work if you dont have a good idea, product, or are just a great salesperson.
You need to be a good coder if you want to sell software to people. You also need to be a good salesperson if you want to sell software to people. The first is easy. The second is harder to do and definitely takes more time, but is far more rewarding in the long run.

A good salesperson is someone who will treat his customers like adults and understand that they are adults.
I used to work in marketing, but I dont think I ever really understood the difference between sales and marketing. I think I have a pretty good idea though because my clients and I tend to share the same basic goal, which is to get people to buy our product. If you want them to buy our product, you have to treat them like adults, and that includes treating them like theyre on a first name basis.
